Happy Balentime's Day

I filled over 200 balloons with love notes and chocolates and put them in Greg's room. The pictures make the story...

Worst Week Ever

I struggle with depression. I have since high school. I've been on anti-depressants for about 6 years. I love pro-zac. Anyway, this year I started the Spring semester at CWI in Biology 201, Biology lab and Math 108. My hardest semester in 6 years. It was going well until about Monday night when I had a mini breakdown. Mentally. Full-time job with a hard school load = stress. I pretty much lost it. So out of a 5 day work week, I've taken 3 days off. I just want to thank Greg and my Mom for helping me though it; talking it out with me. It helps immensely. And so does playing with Amber and petting Baalthazar. Amber's wagging tale always makes me feel happy and giggly. Baalthazar's purr is soothing. I love my pets.

Start Over...

I decided to start my blog all over again. Deal.

I live in a duplex now, with a back yard for my Amber. Besides the constant cleaning and other grown-up responsibilities (rent, bills, etc), I love it here.

There's a new member of my little family now. A 4 year old, Blue-Point Siamese named Baalthazar. He was my Christmas present from Greg! We picked him up from the Humane Society on December 19 and brought him home that day! He instantly knew what was happening and got comfortable very quickly. He and Amber have learned to tolerate each other. As long as Baalthazar doesn't go too near Amber's food and Amber doesn't run at him.

I'm taking some classes at CWI, starting my long journey through Veterinary Medicine. My new "get-up-early" schedule is kicking my trash. I've been so tired lately, but I haven't slept in and missed a class yet, so I think it's getting better. I had my first Biology Exam this morning. I think it went well. Especially since I had a panic attack over it last week.

I had a sammich from Cobby's today for lunch. Best. Sammich. Evar. Turkey on sourdough, no peppers or onions, plus mustard and extra American cheese. Helped me wake up. Plus I get a free fountain drink because I work at HP. It's actually only for HP employees, I'm employed by Adecco, but the Cobby's people can't tell the difference between my badge and an HP employee's badge, so I get a free drink anyway.

All in all, not a bad re-start to my blog, if I do say so myself.

Ciao.
